KVHS began as an idea from Vice Principal Daugherty at Clayton Valley High School. KVHS went through several changes and upgrades, and since the early 1970s has broadcast to the entire Diablo Valley.
for the last 55 years, the students at Clayton Valley High School have had KVHS to help them learn the aspects of operating a radio station, and more importantly, a business.
